We are proud to announce our new and revised partnership with Stripe to bring new ways to pay and manage subscriptions with Krepling. Our partnership with Stripe has allowed us to begin deploying the new API gateways to make it easier for all Krepling to pay for their Krepling plans using their preferred debit or credit card.
Krepling brought Stripe to businesses last year through Weebly, allowing you and your business to accept credit card payments alongside PayPal, Square, and more.
Through this new partnership, Krepling users can now interact and make purchases using a new plethora of different methods, these same methods may also be used by your customers to make purchases on your website.
Apple Pay
Apple Pay allows you access payment details that you have stored in your Wallet. If you are using Safari on an iPhone or iPad, when using Krepling, buying Krepling ad-on, or subscribing/upgrading to Krepling's plans, you are now able to tap "Buy with Apple Pay" upon checkout. You will be shown a modal payment sheet. If you are using Safari on your Mac, and have an iOS device in range, you may be prompted on your device to authorize the payment, which will then be sent to the browser.
Live Stripe API keys have been deployed on Krepling and will be rolling out nationwide later this week.
Google Pay
Google Pay now allows you to make payments using any credit or debit card saved to your Google Account, including ones from Google Play, YouTube, Chrome, or an Android device.
Microsoft Pay
Microsoft Pay allows Krepling users to make payments using any credit or debit card saved to your Microsoft Account.
Security With Card Payments
Krepling's new credit/debit card processing system has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. To accomplish this, we, together with Stripe, make use of best-in-class security tools and practices to maintain a high level of security. Krepling will be handling all card payments through Stripes secure gateway, ensuring your business and payments are kept to the highest standard of PCI-certified security.
Encryption of sensitive data and communication
All card numbers are encrypted at rest with AES-256. Decryption keys are stored on separate machines. None of Krepling’s internal servers and backe-end tools are able to obtain plaintext card numbers; instead, they can just request that cards be sent to a service provider on a static whitelist. Stripe’s infrastructure for storing, decrypting, and transmitting card numbers runs in separate hosting infrastructure to Krepling, and doesn’t share any credentials with Krepling’s primary services (API, platform, website, etc.).
What does this update mean to Krepling's billing system?
You can pay for your Krepling bills (one-time or recurring) by a valid credit or debit card from Mastercard, Visa, or American Express. Your credit card needs to allow for recurring payments.
Nothing has changed to Krepling's billing cycle and system. Most of the fees charged by Krepling are recurring payments. Recurring payments occur on a regular cycle. These billing cycles vary and are not all in sync unless, for example, you start on a plan with 30-day billing and install all of your apps on the same day.
