Given the rise in the recent signups for Krepling Cloud, we’ve made some updates to our cloud infrastructure that streamline how redirects occur when browsers load Krepling websites at the default domain.

In short, our team uncovered some key issues that are to do with how your site's visitors are redirected when they type in a URL on your domain and get redirected to another place.

For example, if your site lives on “https://www.website.com” and someone types “https://website.com” or a URL that you’ve set to 301 redirect back to your homepage in their browser, Krepling will automatically direct them to the correct location: “https://www.website.com.”

Before this update, we noticed an extra redirect taking place that caused slight performance issues for some users and business owners. To resolve this issue, we’ve set up new A records that all Krepling users have been switched to automatically.

Will I need to update my A records?

No, you will not need to. We have will be issuing an automatic system update on the 30th of January at 12:00 AM EST. Every Krepling user's A records will be updated automatically across all subscriptions.

Will my business and website experience downtime?

No, your site will experience no downtime whatsoever. In fact, the good news is that these new A records will reduce the number of steps that take place when your site loads, which should result in even faster site loading times.
